Il microprocessore è capace di effettuare fino a quattro fasi di carica, inclusa l’importante fase di desolfatazione, che garantisce l’allungamento della vita operativa della batteria. 
Grazie al sistema MPPT, questo regolatore permette di sfruttare al massimo le potenzialità del pannello solare, migliorandone la resa fino al 20-25% maggiore rispetto ad un modello di tipo PWM.
Con uscita supplementare per la ricarica della batteria motore il regolatore SC300 integra anche un parallelatore.
