Il kit mantenitore di carica 30W fornisce quotidianamente una piccola carica alle batterie impedendo a quest'ultime di scaricarsi completamente in caso di lunghi periodi di inutilizzo della batteria o in caso di piccoli consumi come quelli delle pompe di sentina o delle luci di posizione: in questo modo la batteria sarà sempre carica ed efficiente.

E' bene ricordare che la vita delle batterie diminuisce drasticamente se esse subiscono cicli di scarica profonda o se le batterie scariche non vengono prontamente ricaricate.

Nota: l'energia fornita dal kit dipende da molti fattori (come è posizionato il kit, eventuali ombre, stagione considerata, ecc.) tuttavia è possibile dare una indicazione di massima:

 - 4 Ah al giorno in inverno

 - 6 Ah al giorno in primavera/autunno

 - 8 Ah al giorno in estate

Tali valori di energia sono sufficienti a mantenere la carica delle batterie e volendo anche a ricaricare (lentamente) una batteria parzialmente scarica.
