Il dispositivo è dotato di un connettore a tre vie alle quali fanno capo i contatti di un relè dedicato (N.O., COM e N.C.) che possono essere usati, ad esempio per la gestione di condizionatori provvisti di funzione Economy, disattivando temporaneamente il compressore e lasciando attivo il resto del circuito.
